01 / Understanding the service

What this service covers

Review can begin before the goods arrive. The name, model, quantity, value and weight across documents must describe the same consignment. We ask the goods owner, seller or document issuer to explain inconsistencies.

If the goods are already at customs, we start from the latest request. We identify the missing explanation or document and who must supply it. Time and cost can be estimated only after reviewing the actual file.

02 / Your starting point

Who is this for?

  • Your consignment is in transit and you want documents checked before arrival.
  • The goods have arrived and you need help responding to an additional request.
03 / Our scope

What ISABO does

01

Compare purchase and transport documents

We reconcile invoice, packing list and transport document for goods description, quantity, weight and parties.

02

Explain the goods technically

We use catalogues to review product use and specifications relevant to tariff classification; a generic product name is insufficient.

03

Follow responses and corrections

We review supplemental requests with you, ask the responsible party for an amendment or explanation and retain each response.

04

Coordinate release and receipt

We review notified costs and steps, then check collection documents, inland transport and destination readiness once release is possible.

04 / Expected outcome

What will you receive?

Document gap list

Missing information, the document containing each discrepancy and the party who can answer it.

File progress record

Requests answered, outstanding actions and charges communicated for the next steps.

Release and handover details

Available documents, recipient information and actions needed before cargo delivery.

05 / A closer look

Which document differences matter?

Understand a different figure before asking anyone to change it.

Description and quantity
Compare names, models, quantities and units; a carton count is not the number of pieces.
Package weight and size
Separate net from gross weight and use the latest packing-list version.
Value and origin
Check currency and invoice terms, and distinguish the country of manufacture from the dispatch location.

06 / The workflow

How the work proceeds

  1. 01

    Establish the current status

We ask where the goods are, what documents you have and what the latest request says.

  2. 02

    Find discrepancies

We compare goods details across documents and identify the record and person needed to resolve each issue.

  3. 03

    Complete the file

Within the agreed scope, we prepare declaration information and supporting documents and follow responses, checks and related payments.

  4. 04

    Follow release and delivery

After release permission, we check receipt arrangements and compare delivered packages with the file.

07 / Practical planning

What affects time and cost?

A dependable estimate follows a review of the actual goods, documents and agreed scope.

Document completeness

Differences across invoice, packing list, transport document and permits can delay review.

Product nature and classification

Specifications, valuation and tariff code affect duties and the review path.

Permits and inspection

Physical checks or external permissions add steps outside a fixed schedule.

Storage and local operations

Terminal time, storage, demurrage, unloading and inland transport affect total cost.

08 / Before we begin

Documents and details to share

This is a starting list. Additional requirements depend on your particular goods and file.

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Bill of lading or other transport document
  • Catalogue or technical product description
  • Origin papers, import registration and relevant permits
  • Delivery order and warehouse receipt, if issued
  • Latest file notice, request or amendment
09 / Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can we use the seller’s tariff code unchanged?

We check it against product use and specifications; a catalogue or further explanation may be needed.

What if two documents show different weights?

We distinguish net and gross weight, units and document versions, then request an explanation or correction.

Is it too late if the goods are already at customs?

No. Send the latest documents and requests; we can identify the remaining steps from the current position.

Is delivery to the warehouse included in a clearance estimate?

That depends on the offer. We separate duties, related taxes, processing, storage, delays and inland transport so inclusions are clear.
